Q: Do you allow pets?
A: We LOVE pets! Nightly fees do apply and as a courtesy to all guests, we can't allow pets in public areas like the lobby, pool and meeting rooms.

Q: How close are you to Rocky Mountain National Park?
A: We are only 4 miles to the entrance.

Q: Is Rocky Mountain National Park open year round?
A: Yes, the Park is open all year as well as the Rocky Mountain Park Inn. However, Trail Ridge Road, which takes you across the Continental Divide is closed during the winter, starting in October. Spectacular Bear Lake Road is an alternative as it is open & maintained all year.

Q: What are the entrance fees to Rocky Mountain National Park?
A: The park does charge entrance fees. A seven-day automobile pass for individuals and families costs $20. A one-week pass for pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles and mopeds is $10 per person, not to exceed $20 per vehicle. An annual pass for Rocky Mountain National Park allows unlimited entry to this park for $40 a year. The $80 America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass is good for one year's entry to all U.S. recreation areas where entrance fees are charged. The America the Beautiful - Senior Pass, a lifetime pass to all federal recreation areas issued to citizens or permanent residents age 62 and over, is available for a one-time processing fee of $10. The America the Beautiful - Access Pass is a free lifetime pass issued to blind or permanently disabled U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Passes are available at all park entrance stations.

Q: Is it cold in the summertime?
A: The days are sunny, but it's Colorado, the weather can change in 5 minutes. We recommend you always wear layers and prepare for spending time at high elevations.

Q: Do you have any suggestions of things to do during our visit to Estes Park that kids might enjoy or that we could do as a family?
A: There is an excellent program for families and kids through the Rocky Mountain Nature Association. Visit Rocky Mountain Nature Association

You can choose from a variety of activites including geocaching, hiking with a naturalist (beginning, intermediate, or advanced) or photography. These three-hour seminars are designed to introduce kids and families to the fun of learning about the wonders of nature through guided discovery. Q: How close are you to other services in Estes Park?
A: The Rocky Mountain Park Inn is centrally located to every guest service in town: gift and convenience stores, beauty salons, medical services, automobile repair and rental and banking.

Q: How far are you from Denver International Airport?
A: 70 miles and about 1 1/2 hrs drive time.

.Q: I have a group event planned for Estes Park. Can you suggest things for us to do as a group?
A: Explore Rocky Mountain National Park! You can design an EXPLORE RMNP! custom outdoor seminar for an individual or organized group. This can include anything from hiking with a naturalist, to fly-fishing, wildflower identification, photography, elk behavior and much more. Q: Are there activites and fun things to do in Estes Park during the winter?
A: Estes Park is known for its year 'round activities. Not only is the Park open all year, the Town of Estes has many other things to do. For additional information call the Estes Park Convention and Visitors Bureau at 800-443-7837.

Q: What environmental awards or recognitions has the Rocky Mountain Park Inn received?
A: In 2003, our environmental management system called, Forever Earth, was certified to ISO 14001. The Rocky Mountain Park Inn, a Forever Resort property and one of the first U.S. multi-site hospitality, lodging and marina providers to be certified to ISO 14001:1996 for all its domestic operations. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). Our EMS is called Forever Earth.

The benefits of initiating our Forever Earth program in accordance with ISO 14001 standards are many including: identifying areas for reduction in energy and other resource consumption; reducing environmental liability and risk; helping maintain consistent compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements; preventing pollution and reducing waste; improving community good will; promoting our brand by utilizing "green" products and demonstrating our commitment to high quality and customer service.
